# GoldSense Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how GoldSense ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the GoldSense mobile application (the "App").
## Summary
- The App does not require account sign-up and does not collect personal identifiers.
- Portfolio data, settings, and alerts are stored locally on your device.
- Live price data is fetched from third-party providers (Yahoo Finance; optionally Metals.live).
- Purchases are verified via a Firebase Cloud Function; no payment details are stored by us.
- We do not serve ads.
## Information We Collect
- Device-local data: portfolio items, transactions, alerts, and settings saved in local storage (SQLite/Shared Preferences). This data stays on your device unless you choose to export/share it.
- Diagnostic logs: In development builds only, the App may write limited diagnostic logs. In release builds, verbose logs are suppressed.
- Purchase information: For premium upgrades, we receive purchase tokens from Google Play to verify your purchase. We do not receive or store your full payment details.
## How We Use Information
- Provide core functionality: track prices, manage portfolios, set alerts, and display widgets.
- Process in-app purchases: verify premium status through a secure server endpoint.
- Improve reliability: non-personal debugging information in development builds.
## Data Storage and Retention
- On-device storage: Your portfolio and settings are stored locally on your device. You can delete the App to remove this data.
- Cloud function: Our verification endpoint processes purchase tokens transiently to validate eligibility and does not create user profiles.
## Data Sharing
- Third-party price providers: To fetch live prices, the App makes requests to Yahoo Finance APIs and/or Metals.live. These providers may process your IP address and standard network metadata to serve content.
- App stores and billing: Google Play processes in-app purchases; we receive purchase status and tokens as required for validation.
- Legal: We may disclose information if required by law.
## Permissions
- Network access: required to fetch prices and verify purchases.
- Notifications: used to deliver local price alerts you configure.
- Widgets: used to display price information on your device home screen.
- We do not request camera, microphone, or location permissions.
## Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
## Security
We use industry-standard HTTPS for network communications and follow least-permissions principles. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
## Your Choices
- Manage alerts and widgets in the App’s settings.
- Export or delete your local data using the data management tools in the App (if available) or by uninstalling the App.
## International Transfers
Requests to price providers and our verification function may be routed through servers outside your country. By using the App, you consent to such transfers.
## Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in an updated effective date.
